The deal between us.

Spire is in early access. The engine that produces a target architecture runs; the half that reads a codebase you are inheriting is being built. Nothing on the pricing page is on sale yet, and the prices shown there are what we intend to charge, not a binding offer.

These terms cover both the waitlist and the early-access product. Most of what follows only starts to matter once you have an account.

• It is free, it is not a purchase, and it does not reserve anything you have paid for.
• You can leave at any time by emailing us. There is no penalty and we will not ask why.
• We will use your address to tell you when the takeover scan opens. Not for anything else.
• We intend to honour the listed price for people who joined before it opens. If something makes that impossible we will tell you what changed rather than quietly reprice it.

An account belongs to one person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at legal@getspire.co if you think someone else is using it — you can also revoke any active session yourself from your settings.

You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 16.

• Submit code, documents, or data you do not have the right to share with us.
• Upload personal data about other people beyond what the service obviously needs.
• Attack, overload, or probe the service, or try to reach another account’s data.
• Resell access to the product itself, or present the generated artifacts as though a human consultant produced them.
• Use Spire to build something illegal, or to plan harm to people.

Selling a client a report you generated with Spire is entirely fine — that is what it is for. Passing off the tool as your own product is not.

You own what you put in: your project descriptions, your code, your context. You also own the architecture packs, diagrams, and reports generated from them, and you can use them commercially, including in client work under your own name.

We own Spire itself — the software, the models around it, the interface, the name. Nothing here transfers any of that to you.

You give us permission to store and process your inputs only to the extent needed to run the service for you, and to keep it working. Details of who that involves are in the privacy policy.

Spire produces reasoned architecture decisions with the evidence behind them. It is a tool for making your judgment better, not a replacement for it. Its output can be wrong, incomplete, or confidently mistaken about your situation — that is the nature of the technology, and it is why every pack shows the trade-offs and the assumptions it made.

Review anything before you act on it, and especially before you quote a price to a client on the strength of it. We are not liable for a build that went badly, a bid that came in short, or a client relationship that soured because a generated recommendation missed something.

The service is provided as-is. During early access it may break, change shape, or go offline without notice, and we do not offer an uptime guarantee.

When paid products open, Paddle sells them as merchant of record — your contract for the purchase itself is with them, and your card details never reach us. What we will and will not refund is set out on the refund page.

You can stop using Spire whenever you like, close your account, and ask us to delete your data at privacy@getspire.co.

We can suspend an account that is attacking the service, breaking the rules above, or costing us money through abuse. Except where that would let real damage continue, we will tell you what happened and give you a chance to respond and to take your data with you.

If we are at fault, what you can recover from us is limited to what you actually paid us in the twelve months before the problem — which, for a waitlist member, is nothing. We are not liable for lost profits, lost contracts, or lost data beyond that.

Nothing here removes rights you have by law and cannot sign away, including consumer rights in your country. Where a law says a limit above does not apply, it does not apply.

Email legal@getspire.co first, describing the problem. We would rather fix something in a week than argue about it for a year.

Spire is operated by a small independent team and is not yet taking payments. Before the first paid product opens, this page will name the operating entity and the governing law that applies to a purchase, so nobody buys without knowing who they are buying from.

The date at the top moves whenever the substance does. If a change materially affects people already using Spire or waiting on the list, we email them before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that is how you accept the new version.
